1951 Yankee Prospect of the Past: Hank Sauer

HANK SAUER
"A slugger at the plate, Hank slammed out 32 doubles and 32 home runs in 1950. His .274 batting average was good for 103 runs batted in. He divided the 1949 season between the Reds and the Cubs, played in 138 games, batted .275, hit 31 homers and drove in 99 runs. He was with the Reds in 1948.
In 1947, with Syracuse, Hank batted .336 and hit 50 homers. He was voted the International League's most valuable player for the year."
