1951 Yankee of the Past: Jerry Priddy

"Jerry did a good job for the Tigers in his first season for them last year. He batted .277 in 157 games and drove in 75 runs.
He hit .290 in 145 games with the St. Louis Browns in 1949 and drove in 63 runs. At the end of the 1949 season, Jerry was traded to the Bengals from the Browns.
Jerry came up through the minors to the Yankees in 1941 and was sent to the Senators for 1943. At the end of the 1947 campaign, St. Louis purchased Jerry's services from Washington for $25,000."
