"Al is back for his second big league fling. He had a very impressive 23-7 record for Oakland of the Pacific Coast League in 1950.
In pro ball for 14 full seasons, Al compiled a 17-7 record and an earned run average of 1.81 for Norfolk in 1944. He joined the Yankees after that season and remained with them until traded to the Indians.
Al was sent to the White Sox in June 1948, was with the Senators a year later, then to Oakland."
