1951 Yankee of the Past: Monk Dubiel

"Monk was in 39 games in 1950, winning ten while losing six.
He began in organized baseball in 1941 and worked his way up the Yankee chain. Monk had a 16-9 record for Newark in 1943.
Called up by the Yanks for 1944, he had a 13-13 record that year, then won ten and lost nine for the Bombers in 1945. Monk was with Newark and Seattle for the next two seasons. With the Phillies in 1948, he was traded to the Cubs at the close of the season."
